Avoid Rushing to the Airport
Indeed, airport hotels have come a long way since their introduction as an option for accommodation. In recent times the sector has developed faster than any other lodging type, with many offering improved facilities and higher levels of service.
Primarily aimed at people travelling for business purposes, there are also a growing number of tourists choosing to stay in airport hotels. In fact, according to research, while half of the guests comprise business men and women, around28 percent of those checking in are holiday-makers. And, when you look at the advantages, it’s easy to see why.
The main reason that many opt to stay near the airport is of course, convenience. With many hotels positioned no further than approximately 15 minutes travelling distance from airports, they provide an ideal solution for those with early morning flights. Not only that, but they are a great way to avoid rush hour traffic.
Additionally, due to their location they are often far cheaper than their city counterparts, both in terms of parking costs and room rates. And, if you don’t have a car with you, it is quite common for the hotel to provide either a free or low cost bus service to the airport.
